Global IT Digital Workspace Services Manager

As the Manager of Global IT Digital Workspace Services, you will be responsible for the Architecture and Engineering of workspace devices and solutions. Within this role you will lead a team of internal employees and external supplier resources. Your role is embedded into the wider IT Infrastructure Architecture and Engineering team.

In particular you can expect to:

  • Lead the architecture, engineering and decisions for end user devices, mobility devices and solutions as well as device management and deployment technologies
  • Lead the workspace services engineering team by coaching and direction to create an integrated and easy to use workspace
  • Drive and lead our infrastructure suppliers for workspace related infrastructure services
  • Drive the roadmap for digital workspace services
  • Actively develop and manage excellent end user services
  • Collaborate with IT Infrastructure Operational Teams for the roll-out of global services in the digital workspace
  • Be a part of securing our company assets and data by balancing security aspects and usability / end user experience
  • Leverage influence and negotiation skills across IT and IT vendor mgmt. / procurement to build cost-effective and innovative solutions meeting business needs
  • Participate in assessments of internal and external capabilities required for achieving desired business goals and outcomes

To be successful, you will need:

  • Ten years of experience in IT
  • Five years of progressive and deep end users computing / workspace services engineering responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to manage teams of up to 5 resources
  • Experience and ability to manage outsourced vendors and suppliers
  • Demonstrated experience of planning and deploying ITIL aligned services
  • Strong infrastructure acumen, including cross-domain knowledge and experience in earlier infrastructure technical roles
  • Experience working in a multi-national and diverse company
  • Excellent verbal and written English and German communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and technologies to stakeholders and business representatives
  • Profound knowledge of Microsoft client operating systems, SCCM and SCOM, packaging technologies, Group Policy concepts, Active Directory
  • Good knowledge about networking technologies, subnetting, IP
  • Profound knowledge of Apple devices, iOS, Mac OS. Deployment technologies for Macs surplus
  • Experience with printing and scanning devices and management solutions, secure and guest printing to develop a global secure print and scanning environment
  • Experience with application presentation and VDI solutions, preferably Horizon View, Citrix surplus
  • Experience with client protection technologies such as AntiVirus, Client firewalls and data backup and data loss prevention technologies


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • ITIL v3 certification
  • Current Microsoft Certifications
